Our goal is to provide Christian missionaries with web tools for their ministries.</p><p>We started on this journey in June of 2003, never really sure where we were going, but with a passion for missions.<br /></p><p>We've learned a thing or two along the way. For several years we've developed free websites using a wonderful open source CMS called <a href="http://www.joomla.org/">Joomla</a>. It's an awesome tool that we use for commercial sites, but can be intimidating. We've also learned that our missionaries in the field have very slow internet access and/or only have periodic access, so keeping their site updated can be difficult.</p><p>Over the past several months we've been looking at ways to still provide FREE websites, but simplified. The answer...blogs. Okay, blogs are old news, but it's still a great tool for missions. For those behind the times like me, a blog is simply an online journal where you can share thoughts, updates, pictures and more.<br /></p><p>There are a ton of great blogging tools, but we highly recommend Google's <a href="http://www.blogger.com/">Blogger</a>.</p>Here's how it works (did I mention it's FREE?):<br /><ol><li>Create an account<br /></li><li>Name your blog<br /></li><li>Choose a template</li></ol><p>Your blog's web address will be something like yourname.blogspot.com.</p><p>There are two ways to add content to your site:<br /></p><ol><li>Log into your blog and click New Post. There you give the post a title and then content. You can also add pictures from your computer! or...<br /></li><li>Send an email to your blog using an email address you get when you signup.
